Welcome...

A Note From Your Farmer:

IMG_0527_edited.jpg

As a little girl, I always dreamed of living on a farm. I craved the feeling of working to grow my own food, or taste the sweet fresh milks and meats. Farm life doesn't seem very appealing to some, But to me.... I WANT to accidentally step in manure and muck out stalls.

I tried learning every tip and trick to growing and harvesting my own food by watching videos, reading books and speaking to locals. Farming isn't just a trick you can learn over night, you have to take notes and learn hands-on through trial and error.

In early 2015- I met my now husband, Gordon! We share a passion for living off of the land.

We've worked so hard to create Hale Family Homestead from the ground up.

We hope you enjoy tagging along on our journey and learning about what makes farm life so fun!

And so, together they built a life they loved.

A little leather diary bound with strings held together the pages of my farming future.

All of the tips I'd gathered through the years, the victories, and the defeats.

Now, I'm sharing those pages with you.
